This is the First American Edition of the book. There is an Introduction by Lowell Thomas, which ideally complements the provenance of this book for the Collection. It is 15 pages long and is full of interesting information. Whilst this is a genuine biography of Allenby, it has to be said that the real focus of the book is what Allenby achieved in Palestine. So with the book having been written at a time much closer to its subject than to our present time, and the lengthy Introduction by Lowell Thomas - one of the main drivers of the original Lawrence "story", this is a book which does not have to justify its presence in the Collection.
