Notes
The title of this book might suggest that it is on the subject of "The Hundred Days", which ended the war in 1918. However, that is not what the book is about. It selects 100 days which the author considers to be significant days throughout the war, so that there are otherwise apparently random days from each year of the war discussed in the book. This is an interesting way of presenting what amounts to a reasonable history of the whole war, and this would be particularly suitable for someone coming to the subject for the first time. The book is as much about the participants in the episodes chosen, as it is about the actions, whatever, that occurred on those days. So this is why the book is in our category for £Histories of the Whole War".
