Notes
This book was originally published in German in 1933 as "Die Vierzig Tage der Musa Dagh"by Paul Zsolhay Verlag, Wien. It was originally published in English translation by Geoffrey Dunlop as "The Forty Days of Musa Dagh" by Viking Press in 1934. The book has become a symbol for the awfulness of the Armenian Genocide but also for the resistance to it by some of those involved. The book is nearly 900 pages long but reading it will help the reader, whether researcher, academic, or just interested people, understand quite how terrible the Armenian Genocides were. WE have not catalogued it in "Fiction" but in this category because it is such an accurate depiction of those events and is so much more than just a novel.
