Notes
This is the story of the "patrician" 7th New York Infantry Regiment, later merged with the "plebian" 1st Regiment from upstate New York (as opposed to the "rich boys from Manhattan" of the 7th), to create the 107th Regiment. Their story is told from the Spring of 1917 when war was declared, right through to service on the Western Front. The Regiment took part in the breaking of the Hindenburg Line on 29th September 1918.
