Notes
This book has a Foreword by Rear Admiral Dr Chris Parry, CBE PhD. In the book, the author has chosen 14 turning points of the war, and has explored the relative contributions made by land and sea power to the eventual outcome of the conflict. As well as addressing the nature of the various land and sea actions he has chosen, he has also dealt with the character and decision making of the various "warlords" associated with those actions. This makes the book feel like a relatively fresh and up to date look at what it was that brought an Allied victory.
