The work represents the subsistence of a course of lectures delivered in the Psychology Laboratory during the academic years 1920/21 and 1921/22. It was while Rivers was at Craiglockhart in 1916 and 1917 that he was able to carry out work on the intense cultivation of the problem of dreams. That is why the book is in the Collection.
