Notes
This book was written during the war by a serjeant-major with the RAMC, who clearly wished, for whatever reasons, to remain anonymous. He dedicates the book to the "Officers and men of the Royal Army Medical Corps, by one whose pride it is to be of their number". He also states that the work, on its completion, was submitted to "one very highly placed in the Army Medical Service in Egypt and was carefully considered and revised by him". This is not a short book - it is over 300 pages. It is a comprehensive, and contemporary, account of the Army Medical Services in Egypt for a good part of the war, with many unusual and therefore valuable images. As such, it is a valuable addition to the Collection.
