Notes
This is a massive book. It covers the whole period of French military aviation, from the very beginnings to the (then) current period at the time of publication. The fact that the book was published in 1986 and thus hardly makes it an up to date book is, of course, irrelevant for us. The 50 odd pages about the period from the very beginning to the outbreak of the war, and the 150 odd pages on the war period itself, are invaluable. As well as very informative text (translated by Francis Klanka), there are a great many illustrations.
