Notes
The version of this book that we have is clearly a facsimile print of the original by an Indian company. The book appears to have been originally published in 1951 by the Philosophical Library, and there was a re-issue by the Hyperion Press in 1981. The book has an Introduction by Michael Karpovich of Harvard University. The story of the book is encapsulated neatly in the title. "Transcaucasia" is generally regarded as the area which in modern times is occupied by Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan. This area, within the time scale laid down in the book's title, saw much action, some of which had lasting effect on our modern world. For that reason, this is an important book, small though it is, and fully deserves its place in the Collection
