At the time of purchasing this book, our only study of the Dover Patrol was Admiral Bacon's. It is accordingly right that we should complement the original story by someone who was so very closely involved, with this modern version by an established naval historian. This is a well written book with lots of interesting illustrations, and a number of extremely useful appendices.
