Notes
This book is a study of the pyschological aspect of some of the leading air aces of the war - people like Mannock, Roy Brown, Udet, Guynemer and others. Basically, one of the chapters is entitled "Coping with the Strain - Aviation Psychology", and that probably sums up the whole thrust of the book, although it should be noted that the book also discusses the development of all battle technology in the war and its effect on the people fighting with it.
