Notes
Look at the title - and that is what you get. This is a wonderful book - oversize, with 170 pages in high quality paper, beautifully produced. The book is divided into the years 1914, 1915, 1916, 1917, 1918, and 1919. Each year is preceded by a map demonstrating the naval operations in that year. Then there follow individual maps and descriptions - very often taking up two pages - of the specific operations. The maps are of a very high quality and are full of information. As well as being an important primary source for researchers, this is one of those books that you can dip into time after time, and simply enjoy. The book has an Introduction by Professor Andrew Lambert.
