Notes
This book was originally published in 1996, by Exisle Publishing, New Zealand. This is the second book to come into The Collection about the famous charge at The Nek, which was so vividly realised in Peter Weir's film "Gallipoli". The Nek was, and remains, a prime example of gallant soldiers being sent to their deaths, most would say quite needlessly, and to a certain extent this still resonates with some. This book is an attempt to analyse why the charges were conceived and then persisted with, in the face of obviously overwhelming defences.
