This is the story of the RFC Headquarters through the war, by the man who at the outbreak of war bought a khaki uniform and went to France as the private secretary to his friend Sir David Henderson, the first Commander in Chief of the RFC. Hugh Trenchard took over from Henderson in 1915, Baring stayed on and became "Boom's" right hand man. The book was originally published in 1920 by G. Bell & Sons.
