Notes
This book is an important new study of Kaiserschlact, or at least one important and relevant part of it. The 66th Division was in the middle of the German attack and for 8 days, under its commander, Neil Malcolm, it fought valiantly and sustained heavy losses. The author details the way in which the battle was fought by the division and examines the withdrawal through Peronne to the gates of Amiens, which he proposes effectively sealed the fate of the German war effort.
