Notes
In March 1918 two training airfields for Australian fighter pilots were established near the Gloucestershire villages of Minchinhampton and Leighterton. These airfields were active for 14 months, and this book is about the setting up and the life of the airfields and the influence their inhabitants had on the local people. As a social record the book is very interesting, as a piece of military history it records a lesser known aspect of the Anzacs' contribution to the war.
