Notes
This is a book about a very unusual episode in the war, the prosecution of a family from Derby for plotting the assassination of Lloyd George and Arthur Henderson. The author proposes that the defendants were almost certainly framed by a Government desperate to discredit the anti-war faction. Rippon inspects the pacifist movement and the political machinations of the war years. A truly interesting story.
