Notes
This is a facsimile of an Index of Hospitals and CCSs in the BEF, prepared in 1923 by the Ministry of Pensions. It is a typewritten list and specifies the Hospital, or the CCS, its geographical position (i.e. town), the identity of the establishment, the periods it was at that location, and finally a column for remarks. This is all preceded by a copy of a letter of 13th July 1923 from the Ministry to the British Red Cross and a response from them (from whom, apparently, the information was derived in the first place) dated 26th July 1923, sending an erratum sheet - which is included in the document.
