Notes
The title of this book is slightly misleading. It is divided into four chapters only: "The War in the East", "The Story of Asia Minor", "The Story of the Bagdad Railway", and "The Issue and the Outlook". The book was written in 1917, this is a Second Impression updated to 1918, and it has its own updated Preface by the author. So, basically, it is the story of the railway set in the context of the (then) recent history of the region. This makes it an obviously valuable addition to the Collection's steadily expanding resources on this aspect of the war.
