Notes
There is a Foreword by Peter Doyle, and an Introduction by Martin Clift. This book is about a supposedly minor action, which was something of an afterthought to Second Ypres. Bellewaarde Ridge was a small salient left over from the main battle. Martin Clift (who wrote the Introduction) had devoted a large part of his life to researching the battle, following research he conducted into a relative who died at Second Ypres. McEntee-Taylor wrote the book to help his work in having a memorial built to the memory of those who were killed in this action. The memorial was due to have been opened in June 2015. The whole exercise was a charitable one to preserve the memories of those who fought and died in the action.
