Notes
This is a work of fiction but it is in the Collection because there is little enough in the way of the written word about the Armenian Massacres and the struggles of that minority within the Ottoman Empire. The book is based on the experiences of the author's four grandparents all of whom emigrated separately to the USA in the early 1900s. We make no apology for the presence of this book in an academic collection; it does have a bearing on the subject and all evidence of what happened, and the status of Armenians in the Ottoman Empire, is to be welcomed.
