This is a delightful book, proving that the AEF also had humorists in its ranks. The text is written in cod-pidgin english, and there are many humorous illustrations. However, the value of this book is that beneath the humour, lies a pretty accurate description of what life on the Western Front was really like, at least in the closing stages of the war.
