Edited by John St. Clair, the nephew of the subject. Our dilemma was - does this book belong in the "Medical" category, or "Personal Accounts". Because the letters span the whole period of the war, and are about a specific subject - stretcher bearing - we decided that this had to be in our "Medical" category, all the more so as there is so little bibliography on the subject.
